Putting it up on time for once!

Worst.Vampire.Ever. Mick St. John, that is. I'm just saying embrace your crafty vampire abilities, Mick and use them! Maybe all the sun is finally catching
up with him.
Now Mick and Beth are supposed to be dating, well, I didn't feel nor see it. A kiss or two would have helped to emphasize it. Our wanna-be profiler, only credits are her buzzwire work done with Mick, working for the DA, Josh must have gotten a good laugh out of it. Talk about putting Mick at risk. Again the highlight of the episode was Josef, the seconds he was actually on. Sorry, but the writers really need to step up to the game. If the show is lucky enough to get a second season, there'll have to be some major improvement to stay on air right from the start. There's no way they'll make it this way. Jason, Alex, Sophia and mostly we deserve better. |

The worst part was where *gasp* Beth tells Mick to be careful to not let the bad guy know Mick knows where he is. Hey, he just called and told you his name!!!
He must know Mick's looking for him. Do the writers even read what happens in previous scenes?!?
WAAAY too little Josef! |

Jason, Alex, Sophia and mostly we deserve better. Indeed. And I only just got home and didn't see the full episode yet (fast-forwarded to Jason, naturally, lol). But sigh, I'm disappointed that they seem to backslide to the previous formula of inexplicable actions and shrug-worthy developments. Of course I have to watch the ep throughout to speak with any kind of authority, but what little I watched wasn't encouraging. Fingers crossed for the good finale next week. |

Besides agreeing completely with all of the above:

it was ridiculous that she wanted him to wait when it was clear there was a risk that he would run with Jacob. I'm not really sure what the point of that
exchange was. In fact, I'm not even sure a warrant was necessary in this case, since the threat of harm coming to Jacob was pretty high. I'll have to
check with my friend who used to work in the Manhattan DA's office.
There was definitely too much voice-over in this one, but I thought the point of that one was to let us know that Jacob wasn't being held in the kidnapper's basement, but in the basement of the house that once stood next door. But then Beth and the cops could hear the gunshots, and rather loudly at that, which wouldn't make sense unless they were directly beneath them. Yet another inconsistency that was unnecessary. If the writers wanted the police to be alerted to their whereabouts, why didn't they just have them looking outside when the shots rang out? The sound would've carried up the stairs enough for them to hear. I'm not so sure about this. Given Mick's line of work, he was bound to cross paths with Talbot on more than one occasion and further raise his suspicion. I don't see how Beth working for him puts him at any greater risk. In fact, Beth working for his office might out Talbot's investigation of Mick sooner than if she didn't. Of course, the idea that she would be employed by the DA's office with no real skills or experience to speak of, is utterly ridiculous. Just because she's a good researcher, doesn't mean she's qualified to be an investigator. It's clearly an excuse to keep Beth and Ben close to each other, but it's pretty damn weak. Like everyone else, I enjoyed the scenes between Mick and Josef. Their chemistry together was on as always and I loved the admission from Josef that not having any children was one of his regrets. Overall I found this episode to be a disappointment. I hope the finale is of higher quality. |

My biggest "huh" moment: the ending.
Mick & Beth drive up to the house, where they are obviously expected at Jacob's party... Mick opens the test results... and then just drives off? Conveniently just in time for Jacob's dad to run out with the photo? Ok, so Mick's saying "not my family - I'm out of here!" or what? Yes, I know that overall it's a good thing not to keep ties (fear of discovery & all that) but if that was the case, Mick should have never been there in the first place! I did note a couple of things to add to my "Thoughts on Vampirism" thread once the transcripts are up, and Josef's scenes were wonderful! Loved the 1st one - "I don't have time to personally kill everyone who pisses me off"* hee ooh & who can forget "psst Beth's here"* snort *a reasonably close proximity

Ok, so Mick's saying "not my family - I'm out of here!" or what? I wondered about that, too. Shrug. And thank you, finajk, for adding material to the "thoughts on Vampirism" thread. I love that thread! |

I still love being named Director of Photography for Loganfilms too! Hey, we, at LoganFilms, are nothing if not particular about giving credit where it's due (plus, our legal department says we'll get sued if we don't!) |
