Sigh. It's something, I guess, but I'm not happy about it. For one, I've never watched the show. For two, it's one of those shows that's been around forever and gets no press now. And three, it's on the CW. Sigh. ETA: Scrap that. I just read a post on ONTD and the new cast members were listed; no Jason. So that's good. He did mention that he would be doing TV next, so maybe it IS Ryan on Brothers & Sisters or something equally high-profile. Since, there's pretty much no shot of getting a lead or supporting lead on anything at this point, I'm really hoping (I know, nothing points to it) he does do B&S because it IS high-profile enough, AND is Emmy-fodder, so ... ML was an"adult" show even though it was a genre show. This is not a comment on the quality of the shows just on their prestige and the show's ability to further JD's career.

The show may get more coverage this year as some major characters have quit but I think that coverage will focus more on if it sucks without them so it wouldn't be good for Jason to go into that and don't even get me started on how little I wanted him back on the CW. Brothers and Sisters I can definitely see him on, it would be great for him. If he got that role it would get him the coverage needed to really up his profile and have him considered as a series lead in future projects and an Emmy or two wouldn't hurt I really hope he's put himself forward for this role or producers have considered at him, looking at sites like TV Guide and E! there are definitely B&S fans that want to see him in it.

As soon as I read the title, I got a very nice mental picture of Jason in a hot super-hero outfit Secondly, it's great to know he said he'd be doing TV, it gives us something to look forward to. B&S sounds great, if it is not it, then I hope it is something equally great.

For the same reasons Jennifer listed already. Not that I wouldn't have watched, but I'm glad it didn't happen. Obviously we want Jason on something new and exciting, and preferably as a lead. But if he is to join an existing show, either as a regular or a recurring guest, I'd much rather it was a show with some buzz, decent writing and interesting story-lines. He did say that his next gig would be on TV (according to those who attended the Breakout), but I didn't get the impression it was said definitely. More like he was looking at various things rather than he already signed up somewhere. I am holding my breath, even though I tell myself not to. Yes, I'm hopeless, why do you ask?

I just don't like that show and it's on the CW and it's another teen-oriented show and and ... he deserves better. Brothers and Sisters, though? That would be very good. For Jason, I think, and for the show. I wish there was some kind of official-type news about what he's planning to do ...

I attended Breakout Beyond and was at the table when Jason was asked whether he's been having any meetings/auditions etc. He said he'd had a few meetings, one was for a film and on TV. I asked what TV show, he said "do you know Smallville?" i said ye, he said "I went by to say hi and that was it, i don't think it's gonna happen" and he seemed unsure and like he didn't want to do it. And that it's more than likley wasn't gonna happen. Next thing I know it's all over the internet that he's gonna be in smallville haha. I'm so glad he's not going to be (or he's most likely not gonna be) in it. i've seen the show, not watched more than a season, but from what i hear it's gone a bit...dodgy, and with the Lex character gone etc. Some of my friends watch it and they have said it's gone down hill a bit. I'd love to see Jason in a leading role, maybe even his own show. I think he has such great talent, he'd be so wasted on smallville! Thank you for the Breakout info. Like you, I'm glad he isn't going to be on Smallville, if for no other reason that it's on CW and an aging show at that. And I am not even talking about the quality of it... I'd love to see Jason in a leading role, maybe even his own show. Amen to that. And I am prepared to wait, as much as I wish to see him back on screen right away. I'd rather he took the time to look around and find a project worthy of his talent.
