Not to beat a dead vampire, but despite all the last-ditch efforts - by the CW, TNT, DirecTV - Moonlight is actually dead, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Their source says the sets have been dismantled, and the show's soundstage will soon be occupied by Simon Baker's new drama The Mentalist. Although I wasn't a regular viewer of Moonlight, I am sad for its passing, since it's nice when a show generates such a devoted fan base. Let's all look toward the future though. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, star of the recently canceled New Amsterdam, has already landed a new pilot at Fox. Where will you like to see Moonlight stars Alex O'Loughlin, Sophia Myles and Jason Dohring show up next? A Dohring-Kristen Bell reunion on Heroes seems inevitable. Myles might make a dangerous addition to Mad Men's stable of lethal beauties. And call me crazy, but when I see O'Loughlin, I immediately think: "Widmore henchman" on Lost. I like one persons idea of him on Ugly Betty as a friend of Daniels... although I want to see him more than in just a few scenes.

I'm currently living on less than 5 hours of sleep per day (rl is kicking my behind for the time being), so I'm less than diligent with catching these things. and appreciate this doubly. A Dohring-Kristen Bell reunion on Heroes seems inevitable. Uhm.... no comment on the likelihood of the interest in such a reunion from both parties, but why does this person think it's inevitable? Do they know something we don't? I am not sure I want him on Heroes, but hey, if he lands there, I'll watch. Ugly Betty... It's a high profile show. I wish I liked it even a little bit. I don't. But then, I don't like Heros, either and, once again, if Jason is there, then so am I. All of this is speculation, of course, but what I love about it is the fact that it exists! Last year only a handful of critics/die-hard fans/nieche reporters were speculating about the possible future for Jason. This year, it's a lot more wide-spread. It confirms once again that, with very little, really, he managed to make a rather wide and positive impression.

Posts: 676 (06/26/08 5:04 PM) Konstantin Concubine Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Thanks Echolls3, I was wondering too why this person seemed to think Jason would inevitably be on Heroes, they seemed so certain yet there's been no mention of it at all. I wonder if they think Jason will end up there because FC has been cast? It's weird the way TV Guide and such seem to play on KB so much yet she is a very minimal part of the Heroes cast, I've read that she is only doing a 5 episode guest spot this season and that's not even 100% set so I don't really see and JD/KB Heroes reunion happening. I don't know if I'd want him on Heroes or not, I'm very excited for FC at the opportunity this affords, and the same could be said for JD but there's also the fact that it's a pretty huge cast and if he did end up there and had a scene with KB it would be touted as a VM reunion (the same as FC) and I feel like it would hold him back. Like it would stop him moving on from VM and Logan and expanding his career, I want to see him be successful for his huge acting talent rather than stuck in a cycle of guest spots that are thought of as "Logan from VM on...". I don't think Ugly Betty would do much for him either, the guest spots there seem to be quite brief so I don't know how much of him we would really get to see, if it was a larger role it could be good. Either way I'd still watch just to see him. I was pleased to see that there was a good few mentions of Brothers and Sisters for him, I think that role would be great for him and it's good to see that so many others think that too. I hope the casting people are paying attention to how much people want to see him on this show.

I can guess why the writer said a JD/KB Heroes reunion would be "inevitable" -- those fans who hope to see the LoVe chemistry even if it's on another show entirely. shrug I'm usure. On the one hand, I wouldn't mind a JD guest star role on Heroes because I miss that chemistry, too. But on the other hand -- I just don't think a small recurring part on that show is good for his career. But what do I know, huh? I agree with JaneD and Daria about Ugly Betty. And I, too, can't stand that show. I'm hoping, along with Daria, for a B&S part. I did read that the part of Ryan has not yet been cast and that his role will be "making some trouble" but can't remember where I saw that. Or maybe, just maybe, someone is thinking of Jason for a truly wonerful new show made just for him?? Hey, I can dream ...

In Jason's case, hopefully to something that will finally showcase his talent and sex-appeal to a vaster audience. B&S seems great for a start. But I believe JD has everything to become a huge movie star. I'm sick and tired of every high-profile male in his 20s part being played by Shia Labeouf. Amen to that. Nothing much against this guy, but ... I find him about as engaging as a head of lettuce. I'm sure he is not without talent. But ... yawn. I can't help it. ETA: For what it's worth: Question: Is there any word on the casting of Ryan on Brothers & Sisters? Is Gregory Smith in contention for the role? - Joann Ausiello: The word is that it's a longer ways off than we first thought. My Walker family mole tells me that Ryan isn't slated to be introduced until the second half of the season. And no, Gregory Smith is not up for the part, and I totally "get" why. As fraktacular as he would've been as Ryan, bringing him in so soon after Emily VanCamp would've teetered on Everwood overkill - and that's coming from someone who, as you know, loved Everwood. As a result, I'm redirecting my considerable resources (um, that's you, Ausholes!) to try and get another immensely talented up-and-comer cast as hard-living Ryan: Jason Dohring. Perhaps you've heard of him? Source Hmm, I don't think his "campaigning" -- or anyone's campaigning, really -- will have any effect on anything. And, boy, do I NOT like the guy. He is the epitome of the worst in TV "journalism." But -- and as an openly biased fan -- I am willing to forgive a lot for his unabashed love of Jason. lol. Honestly, I have no idea if this is a part for Jason, if Jason is even on the producers' radar (though he did work with Sally Field before, and, apparently, she liked him), if this much discussed part that hasn't even been written yet will be worth all the anticipation, or if B&S is a show I'd enjoy watching. I do not watch brothers and sisters but I might have to start. I orginally started DVR'ing it when it first came on but initial reviews were so bad I didn't think it would last to the first cut period so I erased it. I hate how they don't give new shows a chance. They should really come up with three to four week shows that people can vote on to make series that come out during the oh so empty Christmas season... totally off topic... anyway I am all for Jason working somewhere and being recognized!! Let's get some exposure so he can be a lead who is in a show more than 5 or 10 minutes!!

Jason would fit in like nobody's business. I honestly can't imagine him NOT be perfect for the role. I really, really can't.

If two soap opera actors(?) are the only thing standing between JD and this part, something will be seriously wrong if he doesn't land it.
