Thank you for starting the thread, skyroom. What with JD not being in the episode, I didn't know if people still wanted to discuss it. But I, too, found some interesting things to talk about, so I appreciate it.

You're right about the usual plot holes and tons of questions. But, also, about there being scenes and aspect that worked well. The scenes you mentioned I also liked. And AO'L's narrative must be growing on me, because I found it to actually be rather organic in the ep, for once there for reasons other than simple exposition.

Besides the scenes you mentioned, I liked the final exchange between Mick and Beth. Yes, I know! Shocker. LOL. Seriously, though, I expected an over-the-top drama, with her yelling accusations and him getting all tortured and defencive. Instead, they dialed it down and the questions she asked and the ambivalence he offered in return felt real to me. You could see the pain and confusion, but they belonged there. And, again, for once, the multitude of un-answered questions was actually appropriate. Because there could be no clear-cut answers to any of it.
